Armageddon Resurrection

           This game was made by a team of 2 people in less than 7 days for the 2022 Epic MegaJam. The theme for this jam was "As Above, So Below." We used this theme throughout our game with references to Armageddon, the war between Heaven and Hell, but also because we used this jam to make our first ever top-down style game. Top-down was new but very fun to work with, and although we didn't have enough time to flesh out everything we wanted to do with the game, we're glad about how things turned out. A planned post-jam release will be uploaded soon, including fixes to the issues documented below as well as new additions to the gameplay and mechanics of the game. 

Known bugs:
1. The shop bugs out on second visit and won't show the "SOLD" button cover for already purchased upgrades, the upgrade will not be purchasable a second time (which is intended) but the button will show up as if you can.

Known balance issues:
1. The upgrades in the shop are way too cheap, the player can too easily get enough gold to purchase every single upgrade in the game after just a single run. We intend for the player to need to lose a few times before being able to get every upgrade.
2. The player doesn't have an invulnerability period, so certain enemies who shoot multiple projectiles at once can kill the player in 1 hit.
3. The enemies take too long to put pressure on the gate, in future releases we intend to prepopulate all 3 floors.
